I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2009
Interview
I was told about the position by a former coworker. It was initially a part time position. I was called by the recruiter the day after I applied. Spoke to her for a few minutes and an interview was set up with the branch manager.
My interview was a week after I spoke to recruiter. I met with the branch manager and assistant branch manager. They did not ask me a lot of questions, the questions I was asked were standard questions...i.e. name a difficult situation you were in, how did you handle it and what was the end result? Interview went very well.
When I got home, I received a call from the recruiter saying I was offered the position and that it was bumped up to full-time.

Question 1
What if you encountered an employee taking money from his/her drawer, what would you do?
The interviewer asks a bunch of situational questions that try to test your critical thinking skills, but it's a challenge especially if you don't have much on the job experience.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when... you had a difficult customer service experience
Straightforward. Calm. Very congenial. Nice people smart and honest. Would definitely consider working here given the caliber of talent. Quantitative questions werent too difficult. Just some math like addition subtraction multiplication division and quadratic equations.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JPMorganChase (Riverside, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
It was over the phone. They have you chose a time to set your interview and then you wait for your scheduled time and they will call you. It's a pretty quick interview lasted maybe 20 minutes.
