I went through a two-round interview process with Jack & Jones. For the first interview, I drove almost 100km to their location no issue with that in itself, but it sets the stage for how much effort candidates are expected to invest.
After the second interview, I heard nothing for a full month. No update, no acknowledgment, nothing. When they finally got back to me, it wasn't with a decision it was to postpone the process by another unspecific amount of time. At the end of it all, they hired an internal candidate. Cool! Why would you waste my time?
But okay, that's fine, internal hires happen. What's definitely not fine is stringing an external candidate along for weeks, going silent, and never being upfront about the fact that an internal candidate was in the running. A simple heads-up at any point would have been the respectful thing to do.
If you're considering applying here, go in knowing that communication during their hiring process is poor and your time may not be treated as valuable. Hopefully this is something they improve on.
