I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Jackson Lewis (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
It was multiple rounds of interviews and I met with about nine attorneys total. The questions weren’t very technical, but a lot of improvisation was needed as they enjoyed talking and getting to know the candidate they were interested in. I was also surprised by some of the people who joined the call.
pretty straight forward interview process. Just know what your practice is and why you want to move. I had a screener and two interviews. It was an entirely remote interview process

Question 1
Have you asked your (full service) firm if you can practice in their L&E department?
Screening interview plus interview with partners on team. Partners involved in the interview just went through my resume line by line. Interview was more "describe each experience" than "let's see if you're a good fit" type.
Screener with recruiter. First interview with one partner. Second interview with two partners. The first interview partner was great- sense of humor and spoke like a human being, as opposed to an attorney. The two partners at the second interview were stereotypical attorneys - no sense of humor, boring personalities, and “all about business.”

Question 1
How large is my current case load. Why I am leaving my current firm. What is your experience so far.
