One on one, competency questions after phone call. This was a while ago, so may have changed. Questions over career and salary expectations were asked. Intros and quite informal but professional.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at James Hay Partnership (Salisbury, England) in Sept 2015
Interview
Introduction of people interviewing, some HR information, Company Introduction and explanation of the interview and that there would be tests to prepare for. There was one interviewer and another scribing in the interview. Afterwards there was a Q and A. Overall I felt it was quite a stiff interview, which was more competency based.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at James Hay Partnership (Salisbury, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
Applied through an agency who informed me I had been accepted for an interview. Three days later I went for a face-to-face interview that ended with three tests - maths, problem solving and grammar. The interviewers themselves were very friendly, but I was surprised by how informally they were dressed. I had obviously made an effort (professional work attire) and both interviews were in hoodies and jeans, made me question their professionalism a little. I also found some of the questions a bit over the top, eg 'What inspires you in life?' - incredibly vague and doesn't exactly give the opportunity for me to talk about skills and experience. Overall, it was a fairly average experience but I didn't come away thinking I really wanted to work there.
