I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at James Innes Group (London, England) in Jan 2021
Interview
A "get to know you" phone call and a 4 stage test. The test involves creating a mock CV, cover letter, application question answers and a LinkedIn profile. No formal interview, but regular contact and feedback for the tests. During the tests, you have full access to training documents and examples to help you. Once completed, if they're happy with the level of work you can begin picking up orders on the writer's hub. Full access to support from the management, writers and customer service teams so if you have any problems there is always help. Most work is not enough to support you full-time and best done alongside another job.
I applied online. I interviewed at James Innes Group (Inverness, Scotland) in Nov 2015
Interview
They gave me a task to complete a certain amount of CV's in a week. They made me feel really special as a validated and important freelance writer. I realise now this was a trick to fool me into thinking the company had a good reputation
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Email based - they made me think I was up against a difficult selection policy, up against other writers
