I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
Invited to a 1h technical interview - interviewer was very friendly. Was given a problem to solve in a shared code pad in a language of my choice. The question was hard but fair - with no required knowledge, just good intuition and coding skills.

Question 1
A novel technical question - very software engineering focused, but not intrinsically hard.
Very clear and straightforward. A take-home online coding test that was hard, but very reasonable, then an in-person interview around solving a problem provided by the interviewer. The problem was not impossible, but parts of it were hard to think of in the spot - more familiarity with similar problems would have helped.
