I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jebbit (Boston, MA) in Sept 2019
Interview
The most incompetent HR I've ever dealt with.
The interview had 3 stages:
- For the phone screen the HR forgot to call me on time and had to reschedule. But otherwise it was just the generic HR and background questions.
- The second round was with the team lead and was pretty professional, the guy seemed competent and knowledgeable.
- The third round was supposed to happen with the Director, but it was a complete mess due to the HR's incompetence. She asked me for a time to schedule the interview and then forgot to read my reply for days. Then she contacts me asking why I haven't replied yet. Finally she schedules a 30 minute interview without telling me what I should expect. Any reasonable person would not expect a 30 minute interview to be about building a small app, but apparently she scheduled it incorrectly once again and the interview was supposed to last 60-90 minutes. It wasn't that hard either, but unexpected.
Anyway, finally she calls me asking about some of the visa info that would be required for the hire and tells me she'll get back to me soon after talking with the lawyer. A week goes by, and I call her. Apparently, she forgot to talk with the lawyer and asks me the same stuff again.
Eventually, a few days later I get a job offer from another company, and just for the heck of it I call her once again to ask what the situation is. And of course, she has forgotten all about our last call and proceeds to ask me all the same stuff once again!
Suffice to say, I never got a proper reply nor would I have accepted if I did. Certainly made for an amusing experience though.
