I interviewed at John Sisk & Son (Saint Albans, England)
Interview
there was a group task, about a random scenario non- related to civil engineering, an individual presentation about hobbies, and a 1 to 1 light interview where I was only asked situational judgement questions, nothing more than that.
1. Preparation:
• Know the company and the role well.
• Review key systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety.
• Prepare examples of your past projects and challenges you solved.
2. First impression:
• Dress professionally.
• Be on time and polite.
3. During the interview:
• Speak clearly and confidently.
• Show your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Highlight teamwork, communication, and how you handle deadlines.
• Ask smart questions about the role or company.
4. Wrap-up:
• Thank them for the opportunity.
• Express your interest in the role.
Really simple but can be harsh based on how much prior experience you have. They have a set view on what sort of knowledge they want the intern to have and are not willing to take on others without the description
