The interview process for the Head of Projects role was remarkably informal. While a casual tone can sometimes ease tension, in this case, it unfortunately masked a fundamental lack of preparation.
My CV clearly outlines 18 years of specialized experience within the security industry, yet the interviewer seemed to have little to no knowledge of how my current responsibilities and deep industry tenure translated to the advertised role. The conversation quickly exposed a significant disconnect, as it failed to properly explore the very clear alignment between my professional background and the position's requirements.
Overall, the interview felt underdeveloped and did not serve as an effective assessment of my qualifications or experience for a senior leadership role. This lack of detailed understanding from the interviewer was a major disappointment.
