I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Royston, East of England, England) in Sept 2016
Interview
I attended an assessment centre.
Overall it was a good experience, although I’ve noticed a lack of professionalism from HR person/department. They promised us to pay the travel expenses and the day of the assessment they asked us to send them an email requesting a form in order to do that. I’ve sent them a couple of emails just in case they didn’t get the first one, but I haven’t received any answer to them. Talking with friends who also attended interviews/assessment centres at JM; this seems quite common in this company. As I say, this reflects a lack of seriousness from Johnson Matthey. I was thinking about applying to other jobs, but I just didn’t like their aptitude, so I won’t.

Question 1
The agenda of the day (9am-2pm) consisted of: Ice breaker (presentation from a member of JM), Group activities (build a tunnel with plastic pieces in group following written instructions, characters game to talk about ourselves), Coffee break, psychometric tests (easy verbal and maths + spatial awareness), written technical assessment (easy and general), lunch and visit to the site.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey
Interview
It was an online video interview. Very welcoming and friendly interviewers with positive and professional approach. A pleasant atmosphere was created during the whole interview and they avoided cliche questions as much as possible, which made the experience even better.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Royston, East of England, England) in May 2019
Interview
Video interview answering pre-recorded questions. Was given 2 minutes to prepare answers for each question. 5 questions in total, whole process took around 20 minutes. Invited to complete the video interview about 2 weeks after applying.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Royston, East of England, England) in Apr 2019
Interview
Video interview followed by face-to-face interview, presentation and facilities tour. My face-to-face interview felt quite relaxed and I enjoyed talking to the interviewers about the technology they were working on, learning numerous things in a short discussion.
After weeks without a response, I pressured for a response and was notified I had been shortlisted, but still haven't heard back.
Not sure if it's down to a lack of communication between departments or an incompetent HR team, but communication is slow and as others have mentioned, they will not respond to any queries regarding travel compensation after the interview.
