I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Johnson Matthey (Royston, East of England, England) in July 2018
Interview
Upon arrival, you are given a 30 minute site tour by the prototype samples manufacturing senior group leader, make sure you ask questions to show interest. Required to wear PPE within the manufacturing lab and you have to keep all electronic devices in a locker prior to entering the lab. The first part of the interview is informal so just relax.
Then after, you are invited into one of the meeting rooms and asked competency questions by the prototype samples manufacturing senior group leader and talent acquisition partner. The second part of the interview is quite straight forward, if you went through the interview pack provided you should be more than ready to answer the questions. I was quite apprehensive, as the prototype samples manufacturing senior group leader showed lack of interest when I was answering my questions. Also, the talent acquisition partner put me under the false impression that I would be interviewing for the graduate mechanical design engineer role (according to her email), I was quite disappointed when they told me I was actually interviewing for a manufacturing technician role.
Finally, don't expect as much as an email if you are unsuccessful, I attempted to followup however the talent acquisition partner has ignored my call and email.
I should not forget to mention that the company itself seems very cheap, as they are not willing to spend extra money on manufacturing resources. It also seems as if I priced myself out of this role, they are definitely not willing to pay 26000 despite what is being advertised on Glassdoor.
