I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Journeys in July 2020
Interview
At least for me, my interview process was one with both the store manager and their co-manager. They were held individually for about 20 to 30 minutes each. They also let us know that they checked references and did a social media dive.
When it comes to your knowledge, they ask you about your favorite brands and why they are your favorite. They also let you know the harder parts of the role, which I appreciated very much.
It includes an interview with one of their managers with behavioral and experience based interview questions. They may ask for a phone screening with a manager as well. The whole process shouldn't take more than a few weeks.

They ask about availability throughout the week and on weekends.

Interview
It was quick and easy. Applied and got a call back 2 days later asking me why I wanted to work there and my availability. Then set up an in person interview which took around 10 minutes.
Quick 30 minute conversation. Pretty straightforward. As long as you seem like you can talk to people and are responsible you’ll be fine. Since it’s entry level they didn’t ask too much about past work experience.
