      Farmington Hills, MI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Judson Center (Farmington Hills, MI)

      Interview

I had an excellent phone screen and first interview with the hiring manager. Technically, I was overqualified for the position, but they seemed willing to negotiate the salary to narrow the gap between what they were offering and what I was looking for. I met with the CEO for a second, in-person interview, and it seemed promising. Ater the interview, I emailed thank you letters to both the hiring manager and CEO. Unfortunately, I was ghosted after that. I never received an email, letter, or phone call from the organization stating that I was not chosen to move forward in the hiring process. I sent a follow-up email to inquire on the status of the position but never received a reply.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Although they expressed willingness to negotiate salary, the CEO seemed offended when I offered to accept a lower salary in exchange for a more flexible vacation and sick leave option. Two accrued vacation time for a leadership position is not a great recruitment strategy. They did ask me why I was willing to take a step down from executive leadership to a Development Director position.
