      Legal Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Jumio

      Interview

Unprofessional hiring process — months of false promises and zero accountability. I went through an extensive multi-round interview process with Jumio for a senior privacy role, including reference checks, rate negotiations, and incorporation structure discussions. Throughout the process I received consistent signals of strong interest, including CEO-level profile review and glowing reference feedback shared directly with me. After more than two months of engagement, repeated promises of imminent offers, and multiple "final internal approval" updates that never materialized, the position was placed on hold due to budget constraints — with no apology, no meaningful explanation, and no respect for the significant time I had invested. Recruiters made specific commitments with concrete deadlines that were repeatedly missed. Communication was inconsistent and often required me to chase updates that should have been proactively provided. If you are a senior professional considering an opportunity at Jumio, go in with your eyes open. Their internal processes are disorganized, their communication is unreliable, and their respect for candidates' time is nonexistent.
