I applied online and the next day I got a call from the manager. I was so excited and called her back as soon as I saw the voicemail. She sounded like really warm and friendly over the phone, which automatically makes me at ease. We set up an interview for a couple of days later. I showed up and another girl interviewed with me. That was unexpected and I know not all the interviews are set up that way. We were taken in the back room and set next to each other. She totally took off the pressure and said she's in no way going to call us out or make us feel bad. The other came very unprofessional- flip flops, skin tight jeans, low cut crop top. The girl came off pretty unprofessional and would just agree with some of my answers, I was starting to get a bit irritated by it and felt it took away from my interview but I definitely did not let it show. She asked a fair amount of questions that were looking into our character and values. We then did a 'group activity' where we were given a situation and told to pick out 2-3 outfits in a timed 10 minutes on the floor. The situation was an 8 year old girl came in wearing a open plaid flannel shirt, a bedazzled graphic tee that reads beautiful, black leggings, and black high top converse. She also had her ears pierced and was wearing earrings. She is looking for 2-3 cute outfits for her casual family reunion trip. We rushed around to find some outfits. I love working with people, but did get a bit frustrated with the other girl. I was looking for something that a child would wear, and the other girl had no idea what she was doing. I work with children as an internship so I had a good idea. I tried working with her and of course didn't get snappy, I just feel like it takes away from showing what you can actually do. However, the manager seemed to like what we ended up putting together. Tips for this is pick out universal colored pants (usually dark wash jeans or black leggings), pick out accessories, and shoes that can match multiple outfits. She was really helpful and friendly, it was overall a really nice interview.

Easy interview. Asked questions about experience and then had me pick out outfit from store. Then I had to explain the outfit and why I chose it. Overall not a hard interview.
