I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KCG (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2016
Interview
KCG Recruiter setup a phone screen with technical team lead. First name of interviewer was only disclosed (should have taken that as a hint that they usually go silent on the candidates).
After the (successful) interview I received a coding challenge that took me 2 days to complete.
After submitting the coding challenge I and have not heard a word out of KCG even after following up. Very disappointing since I spent a whole weekend coding their complex challenge. Even if they offered the job at this point I would not take it.

Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter through Univeristy. After I confirmed with my schedule, I got an email back in a week for a scheduled phone interview. We talked for a while, and I feel that I genuinely enjoyed talking to the software developer who interviewed me, and we shared quite a few interests. He was an alumni graduated from the same university 10 years ago.
