One quick phone screening and a 5 hour in-person interview with 4-5 different managers and directors. Each person expecting completely different things for the role. Interview with Dr. Cristian Toma was particularly bad as the combination of his COVID-19 mask and thick accent made it quite difficult to understand him. On top of the, Dr. Toma was asking explicit Data Science questions that were irrelevant to the job just because I had the background. Unfortunately, his domain diction was confused and he was often thrown off when I answered the questions as he stated them with his incorrect terminology. I was told multiple times that I was a perfect fit for the position and that I was even more than they were hoping for in the position, which was odd and inevitably misleading. At the end of the day, the COO was supposed to meet back up with me to wrap things up but I was left out to dry when he never returned. I was told I would receive a phone call the next day in regards to next steps but this never happened. Instead, I was emailed by the receptionist a week later that they went with another candidate after I took the initiative to reach out to her. Luckily, I realized after the interview that it would not be a job I was taking regardless. When all was said and done, it was still a big slap to the face. Very unprofessional!
