      In Home Sales Representative Interview

      26 July 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Chattanooga, TN
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kelly (Chattanooga, TN) in July 2016

      Interview

First I filled out an short application and submitted my resume. I then was asked a series of questions on the computer about being a salesperson. This took about an hour to complete because they're a lot of questions about sales and personalities. The next morning I received an email asking for a FaceTime interview the same day in the afternoon. I signed in and approved the interview for the time I selected. The interview FaceTimed me exactly at that time and that lasted about 30 mins. My recruiter was very nice and laid back. I never did a FaceTime interview before so it was a little weird at first, but she made me comfortable and eventually I got the hang of things. She asked me a lot about my knowledge about Apple products and how comfortable I am using a computer, availability, and past experiences. Maybe two or three behavioral questions thankfully. At the end of the interview, I did two role plays (this is where you need to shine). The first one was she was calling in to see about the new iPhone features and the second one was she called in because her screen broke and she wanted to see what options we had. Evidently I rocked them because at the end of the interview, she offered me the job depending on the background check and if I performed all the on-boarding steps on time before Apple pulled the plug. After the interview she sent an email requesting the background check and this is the long application. They want details, and it took me about an hour just to fill out this long online packet, and this was being on Thursday. The following Tuesday another recruiter called me requesting the I-9 process to be completed. This is all online and you will need someone to act as an "agent" to witness your documents and claim you are stating the truth. This is not hard, but can be a little pain if you don't plan accordingly due to the time you need to turn everything in. I did my I-9 the next day on a Wednesday. I called Friday and was told they were waiting on my background check, but that was is. I received an offer the Monday after around noon stating everything came back on time and she set me up for my training class, which I just did today. 12 days total from start to offer. All in all, smooth process, just make sure you do the I-9 quickly to help you move along in the process.
