I spoke with an hr person. Arranged a coding interview. He asked me some background info and then gave me a problem with very little context about what he was actually looking for. Also, the communication wasn't great because he had a VERY thick Indian accent and kept studdering. So I was able to code up quickly what he was asking for, based on what I could drag out of him during the interview. After I got a generic rejection email, which surprised me because it was a pretty simple problem. My only guess is that I didn't properly understand the requirements because of the language/accent barrier. I tried to follow up to get feedback but was ghosted by the recruiter which seemed odd because she would call constantly before the coding interview making sure I was still interested. Since then I have gotten offers from FAANG companies. I see from the other reviewers that my experience wasn't unique
