First I got a call from the recruiter then moved onto a coding challenge. The person testing me had 10 months experience, so he's probably fresh in algorithms - I get it. I have few more years (6) experience in building applications, but they sent a fresh person to interview me, and have me talk about my background and skillsets. I'm fairly certain more than half of the things I said fell into the "what is that and how does that work" inner voice questions. So effectively, I was just judged based on algorithms. Perfect way to evaluate a developer's skill set, of course. I think this was a complete waste of time. I wouldn't recommend anyone applying if they keep up with this interview strategy.
