I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at KeyBank (Portland, OR) in Sept 2010
Interview
Several phone interviews -- lots of time lag -- and follow up on my part.
Finally several local face to face interviews with different people. They didn’t make sense they were not direct reports nor horizontal peers. flown back to Cleveland for 5 interviews, time change is brutal. Had a difficult time staying conscious in the 5th interview of the day with the hiring manager. Couldn’t focus ( my fault ) but the 7 hour flight in at 1 am - up at 4am my time ( maybe it’s a test ) but they couldn’t do it.
Some of the interviewers were positive - some tried to intimidate ( seriously ) it was funny. Some lectured. Do you know what kind of personality it takes to work at the same bank for 15 or 20 years? -- Its not a sales personality, and they were the ones interviewing.
