      Technical Sales Engineer Interview

      31 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2015

      Interview

You start off with a mechanical assessment with a little over 50 questions to be done in 25 minutes. The questions are straightforward and if you want to practice there are online practice tests that help. They may seem short but they do the trick if you understand why the answers are what they are. The next step I took in the application process was a prerecorded interview. There were 6 questions, each to be finished in 3 minutes. You have 30 seconds to prepare for each one. There are practice questions you can do before starting the real interview. I found them helpful to get any nerves out and to jump start my brain in thinking of answers. The last step I had was a personality test. It is not timed and there are roughly 90 questions. A lot of the questions ask which option you most and least align with. I figure the personality test was what lead me to being turned down since my answers did not align with their qualifications.
