I applied through university. I interviewed at Kia Motors (Amman) in Jan 2026
Interview
Attended an in-person interview for a Software Engineer position at Kia Motors. The interview consisted primarily of technical discussions with two interviewers, each focusing on a different area of software engineering.
The first interviewer specialized in backend development and asked questions related to REST APIs. The discussion covered API design principles, common assumptions made when developing APIs, and the meanings and appropriate use cases of various HTTP status codes.
The second interviewer focused on database management systems (DBMS). This portion of the interview included questions about database concepts, relational databases, normalization, SQL, and general database design and management principles.
There was also an HR representative present; however, no HR-specific or behavioral questions were asked during the interview. The process was almost entirely technical, allowing the interviewers to evaluate my knowledge of backend development and database fundamentals.
Overall, the interview was professional and focused on assessing my understanding of software engineering concepts relevant to backend development.
They have real focus on corporate attitude and looks.
