I applied online. I interviewed at Kikoff in June 2026
Interview
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! The most unprofessional interview experience I've ever had, and the most unprofessional moment came at the end of my case round: mid-answer on the last question, the interviewer suddenly paused me to ask if I was using AI with no explanation and no opportunity for me to respond. What makes this especially frustrating is that before the interview began, I explicitly asked whether I could jot down notes during the case questions, and the interviewer approved. If there's a genuine concern about a candidate's conduct, the right approach is to ask follow-up questions to probe their thinking, or to raise the concern directly so the candidate can address it, but not to bring it up at the very end with no context or recourse. Besides this, the interviewer wasn't able to answer my clarifying questions, which made the conversation difficult to navigate. Dodged a bullet!
The recruiter experience was also a consistent pain point. Scheduling took much longer than expected due to slow response times. On the recruiter call itself, the recruiter seemed distracted and wasn't engaging with my answers. After the case round, I followed up about what had happened, and didn't hear back.
But the first round was a genuinely positive experience, the interview of that round was super warm, professional, and made me feel valued as a candidate. That made the contrast with the rest of the process all the more noticeable.
