      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kindred Bravely (Oceanside, CA) in Sept 2020

      Interview

      (1) Application: normal application stuff plus a dozen or short/long answer questions. (2) Submit a 1-minute video with your answer to: "What's the best subject line you've ever seen" (3) Open House group interview with president & co-founder & ~10 other people. They started the group interview saying they interview a little differently and people often really enjoy it, and I thought riiiiiiiight. But it really was a neat conversation meeting a bunch of highly qualified industry professionals and hearing a bit about their lives and challenges and strengths. Honestly it was a really nice experience and even if there is no call back, I think that this was a valuable experience just getting to meet other people "like me" but also very different from me. This seems like a really neat company.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kindred Bravely in Sept 2020

      Interview

The application for the role was very in depth - probably the most I've ever experienced. About 20 essay questions describing yourself, your work experience, etc. Next step was a group interview, which I actually enjoyed. Following the group interview was another interview directly with the CMO. The last step was a practice scenario for their upcoming holiday season to see what type of email strategy you had. I followed up with the HR team multiple times, and the last I heard was "I will absolutely let you know when a decision is made." I still have not heard back weeks later, which in my opinion, is unprofessional, especially for the amount of time and energy put into their interview process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you approach the email strategy behind sending both a birthday campaign and a holiday campaign within the same month?
