The recruiting process of King County is stuck in the past. Rather than viewing an interview as an equal communication between the employer who seeks the best candidates and the candidate who seeks the best employers, their HR Analyst still treats applicants like some replaceable cogs that must grovel to get a job. It felt very structured, somewhat demeaning and not natural at all. The department sticks to a very rigid interviewing process instead of having a normal human conversation. Even the basic courtesy of telling the candidate who they would be meeting with is not extended to the applicants.
