I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kira Systems (London, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
Applied online. Received email with invitation for a phone interview. Spoke with someone from HR. Given great overview of company, current growth strategy and detailed role overview. Went over the questions I had - which were quite a few and was told to wait for feedback, as my profile would be presented to the panel and assessed.
The only thing I would say that would have improved my interview experience would be to provide detailed feedback on why they had decided not to progress.
CONTEXT: Kira (through HR) had confirmed I had all the skills and experience required in similar companies, through a similar company growth phase (which is what made me an appealing candidate).
I was left to deduce I was either overqualified (years of experience required were lower than what I had) or my salary expectations were not inline with what they had budgeted for, or they had found better candidates. Either way - detailed feedback would have been appreciated.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kira Systems (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Couple of calls with HR and then some technical rounds. Case based questions. Process was good however follow up was very unprofessional. HR never bothered to inform that they have decided not to proceed. Never heard back from anyone so assuming it was a reject. Candidates spend time and effort and deserve to know the feedback.
We’re sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. At Kira Systems, we take candidate experience very seriously and have been actively making an effort to improve our internal processes. Wondering if you would be willing to share with us some details surrounding your interview in a private channel so that we can investigate accordingly? It would provide us with an opportunity to understand where we could be better and get you the feedback you need. Let us know!
I was given an appointment for a phone interview but the recruiter didn't call. I emailed him and he only replied 23 minutes after the appointment claiming that I had put a completely wrong phone number in the application (if there was one wrong digit or something, it might have been a typo, and at any rate my phone number was in my resume and one doesn't need 23 minutes to email an interviewee about a phone number). I emailed my correct phone number a few minutes later then there was radio silence. Two days later I received another email, without an apology, saying that he's busy and let's connect the following week.
Thank you for conveying how unprofessional your company is, without wasting my time with an interview process.
