Spent a good amount of time in two code projects in Ruby/Rails, with all the tests and good practices. Then I was called for an informal chat in a cafe which was really well in my opinion. Then I was called for an in-site interview which took long 4 hours. I left the interview confident because I felt I went well overall, but I got surprised to get a "No", with not much detail on why I was declined. The only details I got was a vague "they were looking for a more senior dev". I'm okay receiving No, but after spending so much time and effort in a long interview process, I would like to know more details on what I didn't do well. My best guess is that the whiteboard exercise didn't go as good as they expected. I would be happy to know if that was the case so I could improve on it.
