      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Klaviyo in Apr 2026

      Interview

Applied online with a referral and was contacted by a recruiter shortly after. I had just interviewed for another team and I think they had also decided internally that I was a better fit for the second team although no one from the first team had the authority to hire for the second team.

      Interview

Interview process consisted of 1. Recruiter screen 2. Hiring Manager call 3. Panel interviews - case study, SQL coding, stakeholder 4. Offer Recruiter was nice to speak to and gave a detailed overview of each interview and expectations. The product analytics hiring team were also nice and for the most part I did not feel any stress during interviews. However my experience was mostly negative on how they handled hiring for this role. I was initially told that the range for this position was increased and matched my expectations. When I finished interviewing they could not offer the same base as I was told before. Further I learnt that the hiring manager changed and that was not informed to me. Which made me feel like this role is fairly junior and did not have enough weight, hence I was been auctioned between different hiring teams. There were two other concerns - one was that when I spoke with many team members , I felt this position would be less about predictive modeling/AI and more reactive analytics so basically a SQL monkey role. The second concern was that there was no diversity in the hiring team which was a heavy concern given my priority on career growth.
