They had a job fair so me and my friend went to it. Was super crowded and took over four hours waiting just to be interviewed. I didn't apply before hand but they didn't mind. The interview took about 5-10 mins. Afterwards, i went home and applied. Two days later got an email about taking a drug test and background check. I go tomorrow for my drug test, everything should turn out fine and i should hear back within the next couple days to start.

I applied online. Went to an interview in the store. The lady told me this Kmart is open 'for now'. Apparently where the store was they raised the rent on the property and they could not afford it. I was hired and told that 'it was kmart' so don't expect to move up. Basically it's a dead end job lol. Sad. I got the job and worked there. Quit and soon after they did end up closing the store.

Interview
After submitting the application, the woman hiring me just asked me about my experience, if I was willing to travel, learn where needed due to understaff, and asked for a background check and class schedule. The application was online and there was a phone call a head of time to review some information. It was a pretty quick process and went smoothly, their biggest concern was working nights and weekends. I had class during the day, so that worked out great. The interview was sit down and you could tell that she was interested in appearance and advised of the possible commute to another location.
