The process back in 2025 as a back-end Software Engineer consisted of:
- meeting with CTO (also acting as Technical Product Owner)
- pair-programming with two very lovely programmers
- feedback and getting on the same page with CTO

Question 1
What are my favorite features in Kotlin -- not a trap questions, more like getting to know me better
Positive work experience with good coding interview round. Asked questions about coding and system design. The third round was meeting with the CEO and CFO, with behavioral questions and project deep dive.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at KodyPay
Interview
First stage was fine, good even. A chat with the CTO, and we had a decent chat. The second stage...oh boy. It was with a C level exec, who at times was looking at his phone. Started the interview off by saying something like "No one here works a 9-5" and "We all want to be millionaires and billionaires". Clear red flags.
I stuck with the interview, despite hovering over the hang up button, only to be asked questions at the end around my morale stance on the company releasing products that don't abide to certain regulations, or how I felt about the company not paying their PAYE tax and NI contributions on time because it was cheaper for them to take the fine from HMRC.
And after all that, they haven't even had the courtesy to get back to me about the outcome of interview (there were enough red flags to recognise that this isn't the end of the world). All lines up with the negative reviews from others - avoid this company like the plague.
