I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kohl's in June 2009
Interview
spoke one on one with manager. Asked simple questions about yourself and moved to situational. What would you do in this situation etc. usually how to handle "disgruntled customer". Training involved watching a long and quite boring video. basically described employee safety, followed by a quiz.

Question 1
Described a time when you had to handle a disgruntled customer?
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
