Very easy interview process involving potentially two conversations, one with a store manager and another with the district manager allowing both to get a feel of what you are looking for in a management role.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's in Mar 2012
Interview
I applied online then met with the recruiters at the career fair to try to leave a good impression (one of them happened to be an assistant manager at the store I was applying for). A few days later, I was called in for an interview with the manager from the career fair and another local store manager.
3-4 days later I was called in for the final interview with the district manager and the regional "talent manager." A week after the final interview, an HR rep called me to offer me the job, then emailed me the official offer that afternoon.
Interviews were relatively informal. Pretty quick process, and the HR people I worked with were great -very timely and friendly.
This was a normal and easy interview with typical questions: tell me about yourself, difficult time, communication, delegating tasks, etc. Very kind and personable interviewer which made the process fly by!
