I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kohl's in Apr 2018
Interview
I filled out the online application, and within a few days got an email to set up an interview. They have slots every Tuesday and Thursday it seems. The interview (one-on-one) was very fast, and the woman interviewing me was very sweet and casual. She took me to her office, and only asked a handful of questions. She made sure I was comfortable and assured me that they email back everyone who gets interviewed within a few days, and if not, then make sure to call them. Though I'm sure she liked me, I didn't get the job. Make sure you practice the questions on Glassdoor beforehand! Really helps.

Question 1
What would you do if a customer interrupted you while you were already helping another customer?
Short but still good experience to have for a beginner in interviewing. There are a lot of people to meet so that you can make your skills of speaking up to par.
Easy, over the phone and about 30 minutes long. The store manager asked questions about my background, what would I do if xyz happened, what I would do if a end cap was messy, how would I contribute to making the store look good.

Question 1
What would you do if you encountered an upset customer?
A round table style, group interview process with the manager and other candidates. Afterwards, on the same day, they did the one on one interviews. After about a week later I received an offer, which I accepted.
