Interview process took one week, I applied online and then a day later received an email claiming that I was invited to interview at Khol's. Once I arrived I filled out a time sheet to indicate when I would be available to work, when the time came a woman came out and greeted me, we went into an office where customer service was and she began to question me weird stuff that was more fit for a casual conversation, she did not ask me anything related to the job and did not explain to me what the job required or what the salary would be. I felt very uncomfortable with the questions she asked me regarding where I was from and the states I had lived in previously. She only went into depth about where she was from, that she had a love for animals, but nothing pertaining to the job which I found to be very unhelpful and unprofessional. The whole interview was strange, it seemed as if it was made up and wasn't real. When the interview ended she told me that I would receive an email if I were hired or not within 24-48 hours. Two days later I received an email saying: "Unfortunately we were not able to move forward with your application at this time." So the whole interview was a waste of my time, and a waste of my precious life. It was a very short interview, only 5-10 minutes with her constantly asking me what the states I lived in were like.
I applied online and the next day was asked to schedule a live video interview. I scheduled my interview and joined the call at the scheduled time. The manager was about 20 minutes late and only joined after I called the store to inquire about the status of the interview. He emphasized that he was not looking for a cashier, but a strong salesperson who could confidently sell the store credit card and meet the conversion rates. The manager told me that he had several more interviews to conduct that day, but he liked me and would likely call me soon. He called me back less than 30 minutes after the interview was concluded and offered me the position. I asked if I could take some time to consider the offer and get back to him by the end of business the next day (less than 24 hours). He was hesitant to allow that and instead suggested he call me the next morning. That did not work for my schedule, and he eventually said for me to call him the next day.

Was made to believe I had the job, and day of orientations, I called asking time for orientation and was told I was not picked for the job. Very embarrassing experience.
