I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Canton, MI) in Aug 2017
Interview
They asked basic questions and didn't really seem to care what your answers were. They'll ask you about your life and what you do for fun. They'll give you super easy customer service situations and just always say that the customer is right or that you'd go find a manager. If you look nice and are friendly, chances are you'll be hired.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your grades in school (I was in college at the time)?
Short but still good experience to have for a beginner in interviewing. There are a lot of people to meet so that you can make your skills of speaking up to par.
Easy, over the phone and about 30 minutes long. The store manager asked questions about my background, what would I do if xyz happened, what I would do if a end cap was messy, how would I contribute to making the store look good.

Question 1
What would you do if you encountered an upset customer?
A round table style, group interview process with the manager and other candidates. Afterwards, on the same day, they did the one on one interviews. After about a week later I received an offer, which I accepted.
