I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kohl's (Kenosha, WI) in June 2014
Interview
Group Interview; the interviewers kept it light and personable. The questions were the standard interview questions and not very job specific. They talked about the benefits of working at Kohls which was nice because usually they wait for orientation to brag about the company. It was a welcoming group interview (even though group interviews tend to be rather uncomfortable) and again, the interviewers did an awesome job of making the environment stress-free and keeping conversation going.

Question 1
What's the best customer service you've ever received?
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
