I met with the director of digital content and he gave me a lot of good insight about his experience working at Kollins and the digital media field, in general. I was given a tour of the headquarters throughout the rest of the interview, I got to meet the team and got to sit down to talk more with the president of the company...
He had high school interns sit down with us during the interview and his comments toward them throughout the interview seemed uncomfortable to them. The president requested to see my video portfolio and kept asking me "What's the point of this video?" "what is it describing?" I tried answering him to the best of my ability, but he kept interrupting me saying "Okay we get the point" to all of my answers and to my videos which he only got through a minute or two before moving on to the next. He even stopped me when I was answering general questions such as compensation as if he had enough of me. It is clear based on the fact that he did not take the time to review my work before the interview nor did he want to take the time to review it during the interview showed the behavior of how he operates the company.
I got my email reply from him later on saying that they will not hire me for the role from the President himself and he decided to send it from a ChatGPT draft. How did I know this was a draft? He forgot to replace [Insert Company Name] with the name of his own company. It is clear that based on the senile and ridiculous the president unprofessionally handled my interview shows how badly the company operates. My rejection from them was just a sign to not take it.
