I went to Komli Media for a face to face round. The interviewer looked so bored at first look. He asked me question on detecting cycle in a graph. Not to mention but is that not such a common problem. And who keeps a solution to detect cycle in a graph on fingertips. The interviewer was so highly confused with his own question that he could not give me a single sample on which my solution would fail. Next question he asked was to find diameter in a binary tree. He was having a tough time in even describing the problem. Once he mentioned to find the maximum distance between two leaf nodes, where distance means no. of nodes on the path. Another time he mentioned it as no. of edges on the path. I had gone for the interview after doing my office and had no energy left to push some sense into him. Also I had lost all interest in the interview and the job by that time seeing such a confused interviewer. Advice to management: Give the interview task to more pleasing personalities in your office as it is the first window to peep inside your company.
