The recruiter was consistently rude and unprofessional throughout the interview process. She no-showed for the first interview and later rescheduled without considering my availability. She was then super late to our second interview and we had to move the interview because she couldn’t take the call from a private place. She offered to accommodate my schedule, but ultimately she didn’t. Eventually, we had the interview, and she seemed disinterested and disengaged the whole time. Despite my qualifications, I received a rejection email shortly after, indicating the position was already FILLED (meaning, they were in the final hiring stages with someone else while they knowingly dragged me through all of this) which made the entire experience feel like a waste of time. She offered to pass along my resume for other opportunities, but it resulted in another rejection. This experience left me with a very negative impression, and I won't consider working for this place again. While it could just be one “bad apple”, I believe this level of unprofessional behavior, especially in HR, is most likely a reflection of the company's culture and leadership. Either leadership is truly ignorant to what is going on (which indicates mismanagement), OR they are complicit in this toxic behavior.
