I applied through LinkedIn and then the same day I was contacted by a recruiter. The recruiter misspelled my name and sent me a rather weird email. I responded and corrected how she spelled my name. We agreed to schedule an interview for that same week. Then she ghosted me, I followed up but didn’t hear anything until 6 weeks later. The same recruiter emailed me apologizing that she was on a maternity leave and didn’t get around to submit my resume. She asked me again to send a copy of my resume so she can forward it to the hiring manager for an interview. I sent her my resume and wished her well for being a new mother. A month goes by and still no follow up and she didn’t provide anyone’s information to contact. I followed up again, and to my surprise she is letting me know that the position was filled. I cannot believe the audacity and lack of professionalism I experienced from this person. Don’t waste your time with this company. They don’t respect candidates time or even try to spell someone’s name correctly even though they have the candidate LinkedIn profile, resume, email and application with the correct spelling.
