      Senior Sales Executive Interview

      17 June 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LINQ Services in June 2025

      Interview

What a frustrating interview process. I was initially contacted for a short screening interview with the HR representative and scheduled it for the following week. However, two days before the scheduled date, I received a missed call and voicemail from HR saying they were calling for the interview. I called back to clarify the scheduled date, and they acknowledged the mistake. Surprisingly, the same thing happened the next day—another missed call and voicemail, again on the wrong date. I called back once more to explain the mix-up. When the interview finally took place, it went well, and the HR representative assured me I’d hear back soon. A few days later, I was invited to interview with the VP of Sales and the hiring manager. On the day of the interview, the HR rep started the video call, made small talk, then handed me off to the VP and exited the meeting. Unfortunately, the VP admitted he hadn’t reviewed my resume yet, so we had to pause while he read through it before we could even begin. Despite this, the interview went well because I came prepared with thoughtful questions and relevant insights. The VP told me that, given my location, I had an advantage over other candidates and that I should expect to hear from HR the following week. After two weeks with no follow-up, I reached out via email to ask for an update. Later that same day, I received a brief, generic rejection email thanking me for my time and stating they were not moving forward. Reflection: Overall, the experience was disappointing. The process felt disorganized, and I was surprised by the lack of professionalism—from scheduling errors to the VP not being prepared. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication; after investing time and effort, I received no updates until I initiated contact. It left me with a poor impression of the company’s internal alignment and respect for candidates' time.
