I was first contacted by LSS for what seemed like a very short phone screening. After that was finished, I received an email asking for my unofficial transcripts. There was also an attachment for a fairly short questionnaire. After sending those back, I was contacted for an interview a few days later. The interview consisted of meeting with two people from the department I would be working for. It was a lengthy process 80 minutes or so. Some of the questions were surprising or difficult, but the majority of them were fairly standard. They also spent a lot of time talking about the position and how I might fit with that kind of work, etc. etc.
I was then surprised by a short (45 minutes) "technical writing test". I had never done anything like it but it seemed straightforward enough and it apparently went okay because I was invited back for one more interview after about a week with the head of the department and a supervisor. Once again, a lot of questions but also a lot of answers from them about where the company was going to ascertain whether or not I honestly thought I would be a good fit.
Overall I would say the interview process was kind of lengthy but everybody that I met with was so nice and helpful and seemed honest about the pros and cons of the job in order to find a truly good fit.
