I was selected for a Data Engineer role at LTIMindtree after going through a 3-round interview process. The first round was an AI-based technical assessment, followed by a second round of technical interview with a panel. The final round was an in-person HR interview held in Bangalore. I was contacted by HR, who informed me that the role required immediate joining. When I requested to attend the interview on Monday due to my sister’s wedding, I was told I must report the very next day. Trusting the urgency and the process, I traveled to Bangalore in the middle of my sister’s wedding and attended the interview. I was later informed that I had been selected and was asked to request a concession in my notice period to join as early as possible. They took all of my ID and had done the verification checks as well. Based on this confirmation, I resigned and completed my notice period. However, it's now been over a month, and I have not received any offer letter or concrete update. Despite multiple follow-ups, communication has remained vague and unresponsive. The HR representative has avoided calls and only later responded to say she’s still waiting for approval from the business unit. She also stated they are now only hiring candidates with 3+ years of experience — even though they were fully aware I had just over 2 years of experience when they asked me to attend the interview urgently. This entire experience has been highly unprofessional and disappointing, especially considering the trust I placed in the process and the career risk I took based on their confirmation. I sincerely hope the company re-evaluates how it handles post-selection communication and treats future candidates with transparency and respect.
