I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LaAmistad (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2025
Interview
They reached out for a screener call within two days of my applying, which felt amazing. However, the screener call itself felt like a pop quiz. There were a lot of simple yes/no questions that felt like they should have been part of the application (i.e., "Do you speak Spanish?"). Additionally, any time I gave her more than a five-word answer, it felt like she was breathlessly waiting for me to finish so she could ask the next question. Left me feeling a bit jarred and like the interview was a waste of time because, again, most of the questions probably could have been covered in a simple application that would help screen for any dealbreakers on LaAmistad's end.
Academic coordinator asks about experience with children. The interview process was very simple and casual . They did ask about my degree but no verification and were very friendly. I was told I'd also help students with interventions. Practice but i don't know what that means.
