I interviewed at Labour Party (Warrington, North West England, England)
Interview
A 5 minute presentation, followed by Q& A. 3 panellists. Questions of varying difficulty - some were vague and open ended, others more specific. It was just one interview, no second round.
I applied online. I interviewed at Labour Party (Hexham, England) in Sept 2025
Interview
I was disappointed by the employees who worked here. I was asked psychometric questions and they seemed disinterested in my experience. I had to travel for the interview and I felt they wasted my time and I was only given an interview to tick a box. I filled out an application task which they asked nothing about and took my notes at the end with little appreciation,
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you deal with a customer from your hospitality or receptionist experience who was angry about the service they received?
The process was relatively quick, which was refreshing; however, it was hindered by unprofessionalism regarding interview locations and tasks. I was initially instructed to attend the interview in person at location X, which was later changed to location Y, and finally switched to a remote interview. I had already purchased travel tickets, and no consideration was given to the inconvenience this caused.
The task was sent promptly, but there was miscommunication about when it would be sent and its deadline, which added unnecessary confusion.
The interview itself was positive, involving a short discussion of the task and competency-based questions. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful. Despite multiple follow-ups, no feedback was provided. People invest genuine time and money into an application, so the very least they could do is respond.
