      Quality Assurance Engineer Interview

      9 Oct 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Laserfiche in Sept 2012

      Interview

I submitted an application online in response to a description of a general position and was selected for an interview with the HR Manager. After a 90 minute interview which used the STAR method at parts (that were fairly clearly delineated, though not explicitly labelled as such) had to analyze a manufacturing defect in a fictional company from multiple sources. Following the interview I was selected for an interview for a QA job. The interview for that position was conducted with a group and involved problem solving and some coding questions.

      Question 1

The most difficult questions were concerning the specifics of writing code for data management. I was underqualified for the job, which turned out to have more coding than originally stated, but wasn't going to just disqualify myself. Anyone with a CSE degree or coding experience fresh in their minds should do fine.
