      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      24 Sept 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at League in Sept 2025

      Interview

The technical interview was with two engineers. And I felt the engineers were not too aware of how the application security and related tools (SAST/ SCA) work. Overal,l it wasnt a pleasant experience for me as due to their inadequate knowledge I felt like I wasnt selected although I answered each of their questions correctly. When the Director of Talent communicated the result to me I asked for the exact feedback from the last interview or the exact reason for not getting selected. I even requested to provide my feedback on the interview. But there was no response after that.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1) Describe any of your past projects. 2) What are the things you look for while reviewing the code.

      Interview

Take-home challenge done. Just focus on writing clean, maintainable code that follows best practices, proper structure, readability, scalability, and good engineering standards. Make sure your reasoning is clear and your implementation is polished. After that, prepare properly because the process has about four interview stages covering technical depth, problem-solving, and communication.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at League in Feb 2025

      Interview

      1) Coding challenge 2) Architectural challenge 3) Technical interview 4) Arch. interview 5) ?? I was told coding challenge was impressive then asked to complete architectural challenge within 24hrs. Process abruptly cancelled after the technical; so I spent time on architectural challenge as well. Developers looked unprepared and hinted that they learn from these challenges. Seems companies are not really hiring and using candidate interest to keep their current staff abreast of the latest tech this way

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and we're sorry you had a negative experience interviewing with League. Team members involved in interviewing absolutely learn throughout the process, along with the candidates. It is the nature of these challenges. Candidates who are most successful are typically the ones who bring the right experience, diversity of thought and can approach problems in a new, efficient ways. But we can assure you that we are indeed hiring, not just interviewing for research.
