applied for a graphic design role last week (a maternity cover position) by filling out a standard application form. A few minutes later, I received an email asking me to complete a CCAT and personality test as part of the shortlisting process for interviews.
It was my first time experiencing this. Had do the procedure two time. let’s just say, never again

Look up online CCAT test practice. Still not sure how relevant test is to being a graphic design role.
Learning Pool uses CCAT/personality tests to shortlist candidates for an interview. These tests generally have been proven to discriminate against people with certain personality traits, even if unintentionally so. This can especially apply to those who have disabilities or mental health conditions. Although, I'm not saying that a personality test has definitely been used to discriminate here, it can provide an unconscious bias, which is important for employers to be aware of.
I highly encourage employers not to use personality tests and instead ask situational questions that are relevant to the role, such as: 'How do you handle expectations when it comes to tight deadlines?' and/or: 'How do you handle harsh feedback?'
