      Cognitive Trainer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Learning RX (Houston, TX) in Oct 2016

      Interview

A short screening interview with basic questions regarding experience in education and the reasons I applied with them. 4 short cognitive "assessments" which lasted about 20 minutes. One exercise was done with paper and pencil and several were done verbally. These were like elementary school phoneme exercises . . . If I drop the c sound in cat and replace it with f what word would I have - fat, etc I have no idea why they give these and my interviewer didn't tell me. Later when I got called back for a second interview I was told I did "great" which I seriously doubt. Apparently one of the assessments which was timed should have been done in 4 minutes. I did 4:34. Anyway the other exercises were pretty basic - reading words aloud and clapping to a beat.
